As I learn about how God created the female body, I am fascinated! The later season of womanhood can be one that women approach with fear and dread, but do we have to?
While reading Hormone Repair Manual by Dr. Lara Briden, I gleaned so much information on that coming season of life as well as things I can do today to set myself for future health success.
Join me as I discuss the importance of...
- Nervous System Regulation
- Exercising, Stregnth Building, and Getting Outside
- Getting Sunshine

Thursday May 22, 2025
Thursday May 22, 2025
Whaterver my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul.
Years ago I heard the story behind the writing of this hymn. Having my eyes opened to the heartbreaking circumstances that led to the writing of this beautiful hymn would change me. I realized that there is rich depth to the hymns we sing in worship. This changed how I worshipped the Lord through song. I began to see God's character shining through hymns I had sung since my childhood.
Join me as we glean truth and encouragement from this beloved hymn of the faith.

When Grief Strikes a Second Time: The Journey of Our Second Miscarriage
Friday May 02, 2025
Friday May 02, 2025
There are times in life where we have to cling to the goodness of the Lord lest we drown under the waves of sorrow and loss. Our family has recently been in that season as we walked through our second miscarriage. I share the story of our grief, but my prayer is that hope shines brightly through all the darkness. God is always, only good- even when our hearts are breaking. "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

In shady, green pastures, so rich and so sweet, God leads His dear children along;
As we continue through our book study of Great Hymns for Growing Hearts, we come to the hymn God Leads Us Along. We can find peace and rest in Him through all the seasons life brings.

I've been asked that question (and similar versions of that question) before, and I get it! I've asked the same thing during different stages of life.
Join me as I share lessons God has taught me in a busy season of homemaking and homeschooling!
We chat about...
- Starting the day before your kids (getting your priorities in order through time in God's Word and prayer)
- Preparing the night before
- Planning for margin
- Using pockets of time wisely
- Simplifying
- Being consistent with housework
- Embracing a need for rest
